2022 Youth Technical Program Announced
Join Us and Take Flight!
Sponsored by
Have you ever wondered what makes things take flight? Whether it’s a bird, a plane, or a helicopter on Mars, the basic elements are the same. The 2022 Youth Technical Program will focus on the basic elements of aerodynamics (lift, thrust, gravity, and drag) and how these concepts enable flight in the animal kingdom, for commercial airplanes, or for helicopters on other planets.
A brief presentation will introduce key concepts of aerodynamics and introduce a hands-on circuit building activity, where participants will build a miniature drone with an altitude control circuit.
We encourage all interested participants to register early for the Youth Program so that adequate seating and craft materials are available. Tickets will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis. The Youth Technical Program is targeted for ages 8 to 19. Younger children are welcome if accompanied by an adult or older, responsible sibling.
